PLAN HIGHLIGHTS

Trip Cancellation
Can reimburse your nonrefundable, pre-paid Trip payments/deposits, up to the amount insured (up to the maximum for the Option selected), if cancellation occurs before your scheduled departure because of covered reasons detailed in the plan. These covered reasons may include illness, injury, death, strike, and inclement weather. The Plus and Elite plan levels include additional covered reasons, such as travel warning or a civil disorder or riot.

Trip Interruption
Can reimburse (up to the maximum for the Option selected) your non-refundable prepaid and unused land or water Trip payments when your Trip is interrupted after departure because of covered reasons by the plan. Coverage may include reimbursement for additional transportation expenses to join or rejoin the Trip or to your originally scheduled return destination.

Trip Delay
If your trip is delayed 12 hours or more due to covered reasons, you can be reimbursed for certain additional expenses, up to the maximum for the Option you selected. Covered reasons may include carrier-caused delays, lost passport, strike, and inclement weather.

Travel Inconvenience (Plus and Elite Plans Only)
If you experience an inconvenience in the form of Flight Cancellation, Tarmac Delay (2 hours or more), or Trip Delay (3 hours or more), you may be provided a benefit of $150 per covered reason. The Plus plan only offers the Trip Delay covered reason.

Frequent Traveler Reward
If you cancel your trip for a covered reason, benefits can be paid up to $75, depending on your plan, for any penalty cost of depositing the miles or rewards back in the account from which they were removed. This will not duplicate any benefits paid under the Trip Cancellation benefit.

Missed Connection
The plan can reimburse you up to a maximum of $1,500, depending on your plan, for certain expenses including additional transportation costs and reasonable accommodations if you miss your cruise or tour departure because your arrival at the Trip Destination is delayed 3 or more hours due to a covered reason.

Rental Property Damage Liability (Plus and Elite Plans Only)
Can reimburse (up to the maximum for the Option selected) for unintentional damage to rental accommodations you occupy or its contents.

Accident & Sickness Medical Expense
Can pay for covered medical expenses incurred as a result of a covered Injury or Sickness first occurring on your Trip, up to the maximum benefit amount. Included are related medication expenses and emergency dental treatment while on the trip.

Medical Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains
If you incur a sickness or injury that is acute, severe or life-threatening, this reimburses transportation expenses incurred to transport you to the nearest medical facility if treatment is not available in your immediate area. If you are hospitalized for more than 3 consecutive days following or unable to travel due to an emergency medical evacuation, the plan can cover costs incurred to return your child/children who were accompanying you to your or their primary residence in the U.S. or can cover reasonable expenses for someone to visit while you recover (if you are traveling alone). This can also cover the cost of returning remains home (in the event of death). Arrangements for this benefit must be made through On Call International.

Pre-Existing Medical Condition Exclusion Waiver (Not Available For Basic Plan)
All plans contain an exclusion for pre-existing conditions. The Pre-Existing Condition exclusion is waived, provided you:

  1. Purchase the plan within 21 days of the date your initial trip payment/deposit is received.
  2. Are not disabled from travel at the time the plan is purchased, based on Physician assessment.

Optional Cancel/Interruption for Any Reason Upgrade (Not available to residents of NY)
These benefits are available at an additional cost with the Plus and Elite plan and can pay up to 75% of your prepaid, forfeited, non-refundable payments/deposits for the covered trip. This benefit is not offered to insureds who book trips with non-refundable trip costs that exceed $100,000.

In order to be eligible, you must 1) purchase this optional coverage within 21 days of the date your initial trip payment/deposit is received. And 2) CFAR will not apply unless the trip is cancelled at least 2 days prior to the scheduled departure date. The Interruption for Any Reason (IFAR) benefit will not apply unless you interrupt your trip 48 hours or more after your actual Departure Date.

CFAR is not available to residents of NY. IFAR is not available to residents of NY and WA. Consult the Plan Document for details.
